Inspired by the principles of our Republican constitution, it is the dream of all South Africans that we reconstruct a society that provides opportunities for every citizen to develop to the highest degree. The question however is how? For MIAMI LODGE, the basics of a good skills and development program are found in the fundamental policy of our company. That balanced financial success with social responsibility, which is in pursuit of our ultimate goal; attainment is not possible without the following three elements:

Educate: Educate means we have established an understanding with colleges and universities that offer tourism as a curriculum. This must and can only be done on an ongoing basis in an environment that will facilitate the growth and in order for it to accommodate the needs of the sector.

Uplift: The confidence imported by the attainment of skills and knowledge has brought with it a culture of upliftment that we continually seek to enhance by encouraging improvement of self in as many forms as possible eg: hands on approach to the studies, we see emerging students who have attained more than a mere certificate. We are witnessing a mindset transformation that bordes well for future generations.

Change: Change is brought about by implementation of the above elements. Together these three elements form the ultimate building block for reconstruction and development. Having recognized this we have also identified the most efficient tool to be used to form this building block. It can only be done with proper and intelligent use of Information Technology.

Our success is inextricably linked to the success of the national policy reflected in the skills Transfer and Training bill emanating from the Minister of Labour. Every successful project and construct means one thread in the vast tapestry being woven by and for every South African.
